A very nice phone this, so good in fact samsung have practically replicated it with the tocco lite. I would recommend either as a great budget stylish mobile. I bought mine for only £55 (nearly new on ebay)!

I've had this phone for about a year and I still love it =] but I love to take pictures (comes with the interest in photography i guess) and tbh I feel the camera could be better. Even if it had a flash, thats the main thing I miss from my phone as my previous phone had an excellent flash. My phone cost me less than £100 and because I was keeping my sim card I got £60-odd refunded as credit - that lasted me quite a while longer than I thought it would lol Iam looking into gettin a new phone but Im not sure I want to part with the LG Cookie yet lol :)

I had the LG Cookie and I loved it but then I started to find it very frustrating after a while. It is rubbish for using WAP and I just gave up in the end - too many errors caused by it's poor quality browser. In outside daylight, you can not see the screen, especially on a sunny day. It takes ages to write texts due to having to use the stick, you can use your fingers but expect to make lots of errors. I found having to use the stick a real pain after a while and I got fed up of too many errors using the touch screen. HOWEVER... the video and storeage is great and with a card you have a large library for pictures and video. Although you use a card, you still have to delete texts as you can not store them on your card, so the text space can fill quickly. The screen can get dirty with scratches but you are given a spare. A good effort but I have gone back to a proper handset now. 6/10

The LG cookie is a rubbish touch screen phone. I have had it for a few days, and it is awful. My boyfriend, who has the new Iphone 3G is absolutely superb! My LG Cookie is absolutely rubbish. The keyboard is too small, there is a terrible lag between clicking the button, and actually getting the window up. I have never found texting so frustrating before I bought this phone. The buttons on the keyboard are too small, so when you try to press a letter, you click the wrong one, or press send when you didn't mean to! Will be getting an Iphone once it comes out on pay-as-you-go, and will be throwing the LG cookie out of the upstairs window. £85 wasted! Very disappointed.

i have had the lg for about 5 mths and the battery has had to be replaced and no flash on the camera not good. but apart for that i do like the phone alot.
Report as inappropriateMatt12 October 2009
its a good phone whilst it lasts. but it will enevitably all go wrong. if you have the money to not be phased by it breaking and get a new phone, then yeah i guess its a buy, but if like its title says you need a phone on a budget AVOID it.

I have had this phone for about four days now and so far I'm impressed. Great little phone. Ive just ordered myself a 2GB Kingston MicroSD card for it so I can store lots of music on there which I can listen to out and about. The only thing I can say that's bad about it so far is the web browser, it's slow and buggy, but to be honest, I have a PC anyway so there's no point in using the phones web browser. All in all I'd give this phone 9/10 if it wern't for the browser so I'll settle for 8/10. @Jazee4: Try Carphone Warehouse, they have them for 69.99 at the moment. @Viv: You only see the LG Cookie slow because you have been using an iPhone! You can't compare LG to iPhones, they're just not the same. It's your own fault for not testing it in the shop BEFORE you went and bought it. As for you pressing the wrong keys when writing a text message, did you calibrate the touch screen correctly? Use the stylus and make sure you press directly in the middle of each cross everytime.

I had the LG cookie and it was good for around a week or so, but it soon got frustrating. The one feature that i did like on the whole phone was how you could write things on your images. It also always used to turn off or freeze whilst I was writing a text.

I have this phone and it is very annoying, for example when adding contacts, sending texts, it can freeze and leave users feeling helpless as they see their half-completed texts sent! But it ticks a majority of the boxes, so I think i'd rate it: * * * _ _

I have the LG Cookie and think its great! It works really well for all my personal needs such as: storing loads of photos & Music. I dont use the Browser that much as i dont really need to.The browser is slow and expensive as well so i dont use it. Apart from that i really like it and love the photo editing. And the mass storage! i would reccomend it to anyone who wants a fun, quick phone!

If you're reading this comment please DO NOT buy the LG Cookie, it is THE WORST touchscreen phone on the market!!!!!! At first it's good but after a maximum of a few weeks you'll notice things aren't so great. - The on screen qwerty keyboard does not function properly, you may press 'a' yet it actually clicks 'd'. (It happened to me) - It turned off by itself and i could not turn it back on, eventually five hours later, i managed to get it back on. - My phone was locked and on the table yet i managed to phone someone 96 times!!!!!!!!! - The internet is ridiculously slow. If you still want to buy the phone after this, oh well it's your waste of money!

Think this may need an update now, so many better budget touchscreen phones on the market now like the HTC Wildfire. Unlike the LG it has wi-fi & 3g, quick to load up internet easy to use. Music is fairly good as is video quality especially for the price, I paid £150. Ok it's no iPhone but for the price it's awesome. :-)

I had this phone for just under a year, & the drawing pad & texting was great. BUT then it started freezing all the time, & sometimes i'd turn it on & none of my texts or photos would be there, & i'd have to turn it on & off continuously until they came back. A blue square would appear randomly on the screen and cause it to freeze too. All of this also happened to my cousin, who had the same phone, but had to get a new one. This phone was GREAT for about 11MONTHS then it just went downhill, AND i still have it but i'm using an old one instead because it's still dodgy & the camera always freezes, & ive never dropped it or broken it in any way. :(
Report as inappropriatekatriciaaa.12 April 2011
I AGREE WITH 'IhateTheLGCookie' BECAUSE i had this phone, and YES it is GREAT for a while, with the video editor and drawing thing, BUT the camera could be better, the Qwerty keyboard does enter the wrong keys & the internet is really slow and really pricey even if your only using it for a couple of minutes, on most contracts. PLUS, i know two sisters who got the cookie near when i got mine, and we all experienced it freezing, and the callibiration (especially when texting/typing) getting messed up, even though we all callibirated it about 4 of times a day just to make sure. Loads of times i turned it on and all my stuff was gone, and then it came back after i restarted the cookie a few times. The camera/video will load and then go all weird and not take any photos, and one of the sisters i know had a weird blue rectangle on their screen when it froze. TRUST ME ITS MUCH EASIER TO GET A RELIABLE SMART PHONE, YOU NEED TO TAKE THIS OFF THE LIST! D: 2/10

this phone is a brilliant new buy, until you realise that there is a new model called the pop that is thiner, lighter and better for not much money. if you are planning on using this phone for a long time it becomes the most anoying, tacky, boring phone ever

my sister brought this phone and gave it to me after a few months as it had gotten extremely slow and didnt function correctly through no fault of hers. though the system is quite slow and easily freezes the camera is really good quality as i found out on a family holiday to australia where i managed to take amazing pictures of sydney opera house. i managed to get £10 for it on a mobile recycle scheme and i think thats all it is worth.

If you spend £20 more you can have the Nokia 5230 = much higher screen resolution, GPS with free world wide maps, dvd quality video recording, 3G, and best of all a proper app store. I don't have any connection with Nokia but it seems to me that it's a travesty of justice that the merits of this phone (which is in the same price bracket as the cookie & tocco lite) go un-noticed while these slightly cheaper but much inferior phones are promoted so much.
