Microsoft Surface Pro

The basics

While people have comparing tablets to laptops since before the iPad, it’s only now that they’re really starting to compete, apples for apples. The Microsoft Surface Pro doesn’t just pack the exact same software as Windows 8 laptops, but the same, or even more powerful, specs too. That full HD 10.6-inch screen is powered by a blazing third-generation Intel Core i5 processor, so you can run all the apps and games you would on your PC, on the go. But can its keyboard cover really make up for a lack of a proper QWERTY attached? Check out our video group test to find out.

Strange you tested this with the 'touch' keyboard on the show. Surely if you wanted true touch-type performance (which was what you were testing for), you should have chosen it's 'type' cover instead. Perhaps the product may have got four G's had that had been the case?

I agree with Mike you should have tested the Type cover, much responsive for typing. But far worse, you actually tested the Suface Pro with an artist not using the Wacom Stylus that the surface pro has, which makes, by far, the best artist portable laptop out there at the moment, been recognized by most as the best Wacom Cintiq portable replacement. I myself use it almost everyday to draw my normal sketches even when commuting in the train. Nothing at all to do with the "finger painting" style used in the program. This for me clearly states that this comparative between products has a massive lack of information of what the product, in this case the Surface Pro can actually do, which is quite disappointing, and makes me think that this may actually be happening with other products.
