After my desktop computer had broken down for the hundreth time I decided to cut my loses and part company with it. But as I still needed to be online I started to look around for it's replacement, and after looking at various alternatives to get me back on the web, I came across the latestt breed of portable pc's..the netbook. After visiting the usual bevvy of electrical retailers and weighing up all of the deals and options I finally settled on the cute littleAsus Eee pc. As i'd never used a netbook (or even a laptop before this machine proved to be a great introduction to the world of portable computing. It is at least as powerful as my last desktop upgrade ans works really quickly. Getting onto the internet is easy due to the built in wifi, though i tend to use a vodaphone dongle for most of the time with no trouble at all anywhere as yet. The only gripe i would have with this machine is that the keyboard feels a little flimsy and makes a bit more noise than the keyboards on the laptops that were being used at the local library where I tried out the wifi conection recently. But on th whole i would have to award this machine 9 out of 10 in terms of quality and value for money.
