The basics

The Epson Stylus Photo PX720WD is everything you could want from a midrange printer. It features a 6 ink system allowing for great depth of colour and the 5760 x 1440 dpi will ensure results are crisp and clear every time. The PX720WD is not a small printer, clocking in at nearly 500mm width and depth, however that space is not wasted as the printer also functions as a 2400x4800 dpi scanner.

The good

The Espon Stylus Photo PX720WD features a clear 2.5 inch screen that makes printer setup and maintenance a breeze, you no longer have to run numerous utilities through your PC just to diagnose an issue or find out which inks you are running low on – everything is nicely displayed on the front LCD. The print quality is great. It doesn’t produce professional quality photos by any means, but for a little over £130 you get great results, and because it’s a multifunction – you can print documents as well. One of our favourite features of the printer is it’s Wi-Fi networking, which was setup and ready to go in a matter of minutes and enabled wire free printing across the office.

The bad

Though the functionality of the PX720WD is great and does justify its size – for a midrange printer, this takes up a little too much space for our liking. If you are looking for something to fit in a small office or bedroom, you may want to consider other options.

The bottom line

For £130 the PX720WD is a great printer, packed with features, replacement ink is fairly cheap and this printer would suit any home office or student dorm well. Just make sure you have the room for it before purchase!
