Big T26 December 2011
I've had a Humax 9200 for about 4-5 years (when I could not afford Sky+ anymore ) A great bit of kit don't be fooled by its low price 5* record two channels and watch a third recorded programme at the same time brill. If that is not enough my Humax started to act odd so I opened it up because the hard drive was failling, to my great pleasure the hard drive is a standard ide drive the same as many older pc's. So I replaced it with a 320gb WesternDigital drive turned it on paniked for about ten seconnds as nothing happened.....it then comes up on the tv format drive ...yes... all done new lease of life and twice the storage. Highly recommeded !

Hi Big T, I also have a 9200T and it is playing up. I would be happy to change out the hard drive but wonder if my symptoms are the same? It is slow to respond to the remote eve to change channels, if it will at all; and freezes frequently especially if you try to access a recording to play it back. In effect it has stopped working and the only way to get the unit back on line is to reboot it. Where after it will work for a while as a channel changer and then become more reluctant until freezing again. I really would like to repair it because it was a really good machine prior to the breakdown and little seems to ave evolved to better it to buy as a replacement. Thanks
