Sony 60LX903 3D TV
The basics
The 60-inch KDL-60LX903 3DTV from Sony is a monster telly using edge LED backlighting to deliver bright pictures from an incredibly slimline body. It displays full 1080 high definition pictures, is fully 3D compatible, has four HDMI inputs and an integrated Freeview TV tuner.
The good
The 60LX903 is Sony’s flagship HDTV, and as you’d expect it’s bristling with features to improve performance: there’s superb noise reduction to eliminate annoying speckles in the picture, MotionFlow to deliver gorgeously smooth movement and, despite edge LED TVs’ usual weakness in this area, impressive black level response. The design, meanwhile, is a masterpiece of style and slimness, and the additional feature line-up includes some cracking stuff, including Bravia Internet Video (with BBC iPlayer and LOVEFiLM, among others), a Freeview HD tuner and even a Presence Sensor that recognises your face and recommends shows based on what it has seen you watch in the past. Scary!
The bad
The 60LX903 is expensive, which isn’t particularly surprising given its pedigree and spec level, but one thing that doesn’t match up to the price is 3D performance. The active shutter specs (two pairs of which are provided) work well enough, and the 3D effect is fine, but crosstalk – where 3D objects appear to have a second, ghosted image around them – is distractingly pronounced, and takes a lot away from the 3D experience.
The bottom line
Not a great TV on the 3D front, but otherwise as jaw-droppingly impressive as you could wish for.

The 3D tv is amazing and the experience is to die for. i enjoy watching tv much more now.

This Tv is absolutely fantastic and I dont get the negative view on the 3D front. I have had a play with this particular TV and compared it to other TV's and this TV is definitely the best out there. Where was this "crosstalk" that you talk about? In my experience there was more on the LG, Samsung and Panasonic in that order. People really need to go into a store themselves and experience this product for themselves and take these reviews with a pinch of salt. This is a £4500 TV it is not mid-range it is LUXURY. It is funny that the Gadget show are sponsored by Panasonic and have given Sony's flagship TV a negative on the 3D side of things. WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU BUY A £4500 3d TV FOR?

I agree with the previous comments. I've looked at all the 3D TVs except the Philips (can't find one on display anywhere!) and I think the 3D picture on the Sony LX range is markedly better than all the admittedly cheaper offerings from Samsung, LG & Panasonic. I'm just deciding whether to give up on my ISA savings and invest it all in the 60" for Christmas. I'd also go for the 3D blu ray home cinema package - just need to decide between the BDV670 or 870 as I'd like wireless rear speakers too. Only downside will be I can't afford the full Sky World package each month (£62) which allows you the free 3D channel!

I also agree with both the comments above, I went to Best Buy, Selfriges curry and Harrods, came to the same conclusion that the Sony much better at giving a real punch in 3D over the others in its class. as for the price, well yes it quite allot but as they say you get what you pay for. with this 3dTV you certainly do with much more too. As the electroid and CBeebies say you really need to go and see these TVs in action before you part with your hard earned. I did now just waiting to be slapped by they wife for spending so much so I’ll give her the vat back from Sony to soften the blow LOL.

I disagree with the "BAD" section it's a great 3d tv. It's the best 3d tv available and by Sony.
