Logic3 JiveBox

G-Rating

Rating of 5

The basics

Logic3 JiveBox are iPod speakers manufactured and designed by Logic3. It has great sound quality, build, design, and good bass. The design is simple enough and it has a 135 mm Hi-X subwoofer, two 75 mm midrange drivers, and two 25 mm tweeters. The total dimensions are 180 x 180 x180 mm, and it comes in black.

The good

Put this cubic iPod dock in your lounge and it's like having the Ministry of Sound in your front room. It's hard to overstate the sheer ear-bleeding power of this 90 watt sonic blunderbuss, especially given its compact size. Equally surprising is how well the dinky iPod speaker handles and channels the noise. Where this really excels though is in its ability to spew out rich sounds that fill a room. Stick it in the corner (where it fits perfectly - it's a cube!) and the sub-woofer delivers the kind of knee-wobbling bass you'd expect from a much bigger system too, without overthrowing the balance.

The bad

Not much really. Our main, and only, gripe is the neon strip lighting - it's a little too Knight Rider for our liking.

The bottom line

Squeezing the volume up to the max on the JiveBox is the sonic equivalent of splitting an atom with velvet gloves - it's loud, but remarkably smooth. We like. A lot.

I bought the jive box yesterday and I must say I am totally impressed with the overall quality of this product, the sound quality is top notch and fills the room with quality sound even at low volume levels the base quality is out of this world for such a little box the only gripe with this system is the light strip but can be overlooked as at the end of the day it is an iPod speaker and it is exactly that an excellent pure sound little box of tricks buy one you won't be dissapointed.

How can a relatively small black box make soooo much good noise? Have been totally impressed with the tunes played so far and such a bargain! £49.99 from a local Sainsbury's of all places. Not all stores seen have them we were lucky. Would certainly recommend.

just got this today for my birthday crazy good tone, fills the room. I also love the remote being able to change songs from the comfort of my bed. I also love the light strip i have mine set to green but you can dim it so it turns off and you can just admire the slick black colouring. I got mine from HMV for £69.99 a bargain in my eyes. A must buy perfect for any style of music.

Excellent used for a audio out on a flat screen TV, which tend to sound feeble. Can't knock it on any level, I have paid much more in the past and got a lot less well done Logic 3.
