I left a comment on here a few weeks ago, and Im disappointed you have not published it. It was a very valid comment stating that I felt cheesed off having followed your battery advice and opting for your number one choice but then being annoyed with the battery performance. Recommending a lousy product is one thing, but censoring readers comments to suit your own needs is another. Thanks gadget show.

I use 2500mAh and 2800mAh from 7dayshop and they are very good value batteries which last and last. Been using them for about 3 years now and only had a couple of dud cells out of about 30 batteries (which were immediately replaced by the company). One thing to mention is they are *slightly* fatter than standard AA cells (to be fair, as are some other high-capacity rechargeables and even some Duracell alkalines), but only a hair's width. Amongst other things, they power my Hope Vision 1 LED bike light and digital SLR & flashgun perfectly well.

I bought the Uniross performance 2700 following your show and I have been competely disappointed. They take about 4 hours to charge up ( the red light turns to green). My held battery checker says they are not full and the give zero power to my radio.

Users please remember that RECHARGEABLE cells provide 1.2 volts, whereas the normal ones are 1.5 volts. So we don't expect them to show the same on a voltmeter. I have had excellent rechargeables from Uniross and Eneloop, but Energizer were poor.
