I was quite disappointed not to see my favourite in the top 5, however I am going to investigate a couple of new options. From the brief views of the books on the show, i only saw options with straight-sided one way up photos. The company I use appears to give you a whole lot more but without further investigation I cannot give a definite. Is there any chance of letting me know the other photobook Companies that were "assessed"? Thanks Sarah

I've used Blurb and Printerpix before, it's interesting that Blurb didn't make the top 5 as I found it very intuitive to use. The next time I'm making a photobook I'll give one of these 5 a go - or maybe all 5!

Just received my from Albelli today based on the recommendation of Gadget show... Was very disappointed with the result. The pictures were grainy, lacking contrast and depth. It wasn't far off the photos from theme parks! For reference, I ordered the Photobook Portrait, Large, with most of the optional extras ticked. Glossy page, extra pages, laser title on cover etc. Came to over £50! I would not recommend Albelli to anyone. If you are going to, then expect nothing better than theme park quality images. Also watch out for the cost, it's not as cheap as advertised (Bit like buying a German car... need to tick the options list)

I think a lot of it comes down to camera selection. I, using the advice of this Top 5 piece, bought a photo book from Albelli, using many of my friends pictures from an expedition to South Africa last year. One of us, had a camera far superior (similar to the one Suzi used) to the rest of us and that showed in the photobook where it was clear to see a very nice clarity in the picture, especially the safari pictures. However, despite not being overwhelmed by the product I received, I didn't get gloss pages and it still came out pretty nicely, just make sure you know the size of the book your getting and make your pictures big enough so you can nicely see them when you get the real thing.

Hi, I am trying to access Gadget Show's photo book reviews but this link does not show the reviews. I've been ages on this site trying to find them but can't! Please can you help? This is the page that I am accessing:- http://fwd.channel5.com/gadget-show/videos/top-5/photo-books I would like to see the videos if possible but, if not, at least the written reviews. Many thanks.
