Im sorry, neither of those games are good enough for the wall of fame, they are too expensive to buy and there are games that are cheaper that give a similar experience, and they offer a FREE mode. Like runescape for example, they offer a free game to get your involve (which world of warcraft can never offer) but then you expand to a much larger game, for a third of the price of the monthly subscription, which is not including the primary software price which you have to buy. Im sorry guys, you have picked the wrong game for the wall, runescape is more value for money and offers the same experience.

I think that wow was a poor choice of online game. I would liked to see eve online featured as it's far more emersive and a lot less repetive than world of war craft. Also alough wow has more subscribers the amount of people that can play on a server is limited where as eve uses one server. So I would hope eve would feature on your show many thanks lee

It's an insult to mention Runescape in the same sentence as World of Warcraft. It is just a much, much worse game. I played it for a short time and while I didn't experience all it had to offer it became pretty obvious that it's, for lack of a better term, crap.
Firstly lets get the graphics out of the way, While WoW is no Crysis, Runescape is just terrible. That's mostly due to the fact that Runescape is built in Java which was never designed for 3D games.
The only real advantage over WoW that Runescape has on a technical level is it's 'play in a browser' feature. While an installation of Warcraft with both expansion packs can weigh in at 15GB. But the size is irrelevant, most computers today have 320-500GB of storage space at a minimum.
So that leaves installation time. Granted a WoW install can take the best part of a day to load the 5 CD's in WoW Classic, 3 CD's of the first expansion and 1 DVD of the second expansion. All followed by about 4GB of patches.
But this is a one-time thing, do it once and unless you re-install your OS from scratch you'll not have to do it again. Other than the new expansions of course. Also, if you want WoW on a second computer of yours (a laptop, for example) then you can just copy and paste the game files over a network and be done in no-time. Easy.
Ben you mention about WoW's subscription fee being a bad thing, while Runescape's limited free version with a subscription version on top is better? One of the things that makes Warcraft great is that all accounts are created equal. It's a much fairer way of doing things.
Also, you say that Runescape offers the same experience? World of Warcraft has thousands of quests, tens of thousands of items and most importantly it has a rich lore behind it. The game world has a history that stretches back to the creation of its universe. Major NPC's with long and detailed pasts, that are weaved into the quests and experience of the game.
Runescape simply cannot begin to compare.

no way runescape sucks w.o.w is way better than it
Ben Keyes26 October 2009
Yes, Runescape may have a free to play option but again, There is a members option. You have to pay some money. Where world of warcraft can avoid taunts thrown at free to play players going i have membership and you haven't sort of stuff. World Of Warcraft deserves to go up there for one, It was the most expensive game ever made! How do you think they are going to keep up with update after update nearly every week. It can cost up to at least £50,000 to do at least one update pack. For two: It has a absolutely massive environment which can be beautiful but can also be horrid. Like they said it can be a way of life because people play it to much, But agian there is a parental control option to block out certain hours so they can play on it which runescape dosen't have. Plus runescape was made AFTER world of warcraft so it can't possibly be a copy if anything runescape copied World of warcraft. If you want to argue with me about this feel free!

WoW is so much better. Better gameplay and graphics. You have to pay more... because it is better than other games like Runescape. It has more players than Runescape and Counterstrike... because it is better. Anyone who thinks RS and Cts is better than WoW has propably never played it before.
bradley27 October 2009
wow is much better than counterstrike and runescape and deserves to go up on the wall :D
Ben Keyes27 October 2009
Exactly Moo! All fo the people are saying they don't like it is because it is classed as a Geaky game. They HAVE never played it before!
tristmando02 November 2009
world of warcraft for the win
Max03 November 2009
I do think WoW should go up on the wall because i have played RS and now they have ruined it. WoW changes all the time new dungeons, Equipment, More levels, More Quest, More Races ETC... there is a huge list that could go on forever. And many people do think its a geaky game but i no loads of people who play it and arnt geeks. And Counter Strike is one of the games you play in a blue moon, you dont play it every single day like you would with WoW.
PLUS BEN WoW does have a 10 day trial free gameplay soo... if u check there site u could download it any time and if u like the game u go and buy it and put in the code and u keep your account.

I don't think that this was a fair competition really, WoW and CS are completely different games with a huge difference in market targets. WoW has more members as it is designed for people with 3 brain cells or under the age of 10 whilst CS is designed for hardcore gamers aged 16+. Both are severely repetitive games with no real chance for further expansion (yes, WoW hasn't changed at all in my opinion since the start, it just got bigger) other than new maps/layouts. Don't get me wrong, they are both good games (with CS better in my opinion as i prefer action) but neither really should be here (maybe CS purely because it was (and still is) epic in its category and is the main game used in gaming competitions). The games that should be here are Half-Life (a truly landmark game) and either GTA, Bioshock or Portal (or for the console fans, Gears of War/Metal Gear Solid).
Additionally, anyone who thinks Runescape is a good game has no life and Ben, CS is under £10 at the moment, how on earth is that expensive ?!?! I agree that WoW is expensive (which is another reason why it shouldn't be here) but CS clearly isn't. In fact the Valve complete pack is the most value for money item available in the world since all of the games (bar ricochet which is just weird) are proper games for proper gamers.
Ben Keyes07 November 2009
Pejhmon, Seriously. You aren't even allowed to play it if your 10 XD! And again I know tons of kids that play counter strike that ARE NOT MATURE but on things like WoW They can't really be annoying
Yes i know it is that price but with WoW you get the real deal you dont just go round killing people with a gun. Believe me CS was made by 2 college students and world of warcraft took ages and more care. And an average about £50,000 on every patch so it's worth it.

I prefer Half-Life games.

wow is a greaestt game ive got 2 80s one of which is one of server best runescape should't be on it beecause it is rubbish warcraft franchise has been around than runescape if u don't agree with me u can talk 2 10 million player that play it in every day

GadgeGirl22 February 2011
WoW is a really good choice, my brother and even my dad are constant players and have been for 5 years. And before anyone says i didnt give counterstrike a chance, me and my brother used to play and we both agree that nex to world of warcraft it doesnt stand a chance!
Flaming French Toast05 April 2011
Guys, I'm not the person who likes to criticise stuff but, I think WoW is too expensive and CSS is real cheap. True CSS isn't as popular as WoW but it offers great fun for a couple hours
