I strongly disagree with Ryan as John made the perfect decision.
Aibo is still the most advanced consumer robot to date running on mind (3) blowing software, which is the result of over 10 years of research and engineering.
A lot can be said, but indeed it would be a good idea if Sony would revive Aibo again as robots are integrating more and more into the social sector.
With Genibo and Nao on the horizon, we can expect a new breed that might just stand up to Aibo. Even Pleo does not compare to Aibo when it comes to technical prowess, but let's see what these two will have in store for us...
Until that time, Aibo lives on and I have appeared in two Dutch national news papers and even a full blown documentary promoting and supporting robotics. I own both a Pleo and an Aibo ERS-7M3.
