I appreciate the fact that the show has to cater to all consumers but even with that in mind in my opinion this was a terrible comparison feature. It went into minimal detail, only showed core features which yes are important but that isnt why people love the iPhone is it?. No mention of 3d live wallpapers or snapdragon on the nexus or plentiful apps on both android phones or just the fact they all beat the iPhone as they can multitask and have a better camera and video etc. Not a fair comparison / review by a long shot, clearly lacking on smartphone knowledge.

I agree with Mitchell's comments, this wasn't a Smartphone review but a camera phone review. I have the Nexus One and use it for a lot more things than taking pictures - web browsing is a key as well as lots of little apps that make life so easy. The integration of Google's services into Android is key to the brilliance of the Nexus One (& Android). If John had used any of the devices for more normal operations he would have had to delve into WinMo on the HD2 and gotten very frustrated. It isn't all about pictures & video ! I appreciate his comments about the keyboard, that's why a lot of people use a different one, for free.

Ive had an iphone, an android phone and now the hd2 and i have to say that it is top of the class... if only you reviewers could get over the Microsoft connection... the Sense UI is great and i havent yet seen a standard winmo interface on it apart from some of the settings pages but its all finger friendly and easy to use. i really wanted android to be great but was so disappoint its slow, hard to use, and unresponsive. im loving the camera on the hd2 and with a few more apps it will knock the socks off the iphone.

I disagree, thought it was a good review, and comparison, just wish the fruit phone had been used along side as a comparison ! You obviously can only compare a limited number of features in a given time ( a full comparison could have filled the whole show, and there is already a 'phone show' on the web) As a Nokia user and symbian fan, I think possibly the N900 could compete quite favourably, and even my N97 would have stood up to the tests in the film. However well done Mr Bentley, and maybe another feature with a demonstration of some of the 'toys' on the phones, at a later date, may please some more of the people , some more of the time ? :)
