Why no Sony in the 3D tv test? After all Sony make the camcorder you used which was best in the test of 3D camcorders. Sony make the cameras and production equipment used for 3D aswell. You should test the HX823 or HX923

Having just watched last weeks show, i have to disagree with your test on the 3D tv's. I have the Panasonic TV you tested, and i read dozens of reviews before i bought it. While the passive 3D does work, the illusion of depth is far greater on Active systems. The down side to active is the flicker that can be seen from lights & windows. Simple idea, shut the curtains & turn off the lights. There is much more to these tv's than just the 3D. Normal HD & SD picture quality is just as important. Dave

The gadget show, ah yes I remember when it used to be about gadgets, not the presenters, now it's all about the presenters getting their jollys off. As soon as the challenges come on I switch over, and when I have watched it in the past most of the equipment used is out of most peoples price range anyway. And why does everyone sound like they went to school with David cameron, with the exception of Jason,i think you should change the shows title to the gadget show for rich people.

OK up front love the show and totally agree that the Samsung is the best TV in this revew.........BUT (and a big one) there were some MAJOR errors in this review. 1). Why do a TV test with large bight winodows directly behind the screens - a big no, no. 2). You advised that the LG LW650T was not true HD - very wrong!. Actually this particular screen is the very first True HD Passive 3D TV on the market. In fact LG took this screen to an independant testing house to prove the point, just to shut up the likes of Panasonic and Sony. Passive no headaches, Active, you'lll be lucky to get thru a standard length move, except for the lucky few. 3). One of the biggest issues with 3d TV's is the additional cost of Glasses NOT provided with the 3D TV's. Passive being cheaper LG provide 7 pairs with their LG 3D Screens. Whilst the Actiive Glasses players you are lucky some times just to get one pair with a TV. At an additional cost of and average £70/pair, you will need to shell out a further £420.00 to get the same offer as the Passive offer from LG. So if you take the cost of the LG say compaired to the Samsung -then with the difference in product cost (£800ish, + £420 for the glasses = £1220.00) Thats the full cost of the LG 42" 3D. So really the winner in this test should have been, as an overall package offering, the LG. I only make these comments as i did long extensive testing on both the Samsung and LG units myself. Yes the Samsung wins but at the cost of another 3D TV. One final comment with regards to HDMI Cable - you are right it dosn't matter what price you pay for these £5-£80 could still get you rubbish if you select the wrong products. Selective searching will bag you a great product.......the Wireworld Chrome 6 for example at £40approx. The difference from the freebies you get is clearly massive. Anyway, great show love watching with my family, but just would like to see that the occasional reviews are a bit closer to reality......but keep em coming.
