Kinda was looking forward to this item, but there wasn't any "how to build" detailed at ALL. just you need a pc and a tv tuner card.. no recommended parts/items, and no software recommends either, which is just as important im led to believe as the tuner . :(

yeah i agree , very very poor information , they arnt as forthcoming with info when it comes to second hand intems , as they are with new....maybe has something to do with the freebies they get???? also the xbox 360 fix was very vague ...and somewhat flawed aswell as both computer engineer and love fixing my own stuff i can assure there were several steps missed from both portions , and the look of the case is highly irrilivent!! compnents and storage are the two most vital.... example my very 1st PVR wasnt even housed in a case as such was a solid block of wood with risers for the board ect as was hidden in a large unit nderneeth the TV ....so many options available oh and the program Mythbunto does work and is free cheers

I've been experimenting with various commercial and homespun PVR's for years. This video is more of how to build a PC based TV tuner than how to build a PVR. I would have at least expected a few suggestions of Open Source or Commercial software to do the PVR bit. Come on Gadget Show don't let down the punters and leave them hanging. If you want to provide a tip go the whole hog and not a half *ssed solution. Its like saying build a bike but just use a frame and no wheels.

Ha ha the irony "THE VIDEO YOU ARE TRYING TO WATCH CANNOT BE VIEWED FROM YOUR COUNTRY OR CURRENT LOCATION" Cheers, Dean
