Xbox SmartGlass hits iPhone: Control your Xbox with your phone!
While Android fans had a taste of Xbox SmartGlass last week and Windows Phone 8 users get to play with it right away, Microsoft’s useful companion app is now ready to download for free on your iPhone, iPad or iPad touch and lets you control your Xbox 360 completely wirelessly from the comfort of your phone or tablet. Handy, right?
If you head over to the iTunes App Store you can grab it for free and start enjoying the use of your Xbox from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. The app also lets your device act as a second screen where it can show off extra info in supported games, such as maps in driving games or details about actors or athletes from various different games and movies.

Just like the app on Android, you need to be on the same wireless network that your Xbox is, as well as being signed into the same Xbox Live account to reap the full benefits, but once you’re all set up, it’s smooth sailing from there. Controlling apps is a breeze, and navigating Internet Explorer on the big screen via your phone is a different yet satisfying experience.
A quick iTunes download from the App Store will get you up and running in no time at all, but you do need to be running iOS 5.0 at the minimum. Let us know how you get on with it in the comments below!

I have ben using it, and it seams to work great! Wish it had more functions like you have on the media remote for the 360.
