Xbox 720 rumoured for 2013 and “six times” more powerful

The Xbox 720, as it’s being called, rumours just won’t go away. The latest report going on gamings hottest topic reports that we will see a new Xbox as early as next year, with power “six times that of the Xbox 360”. Read on for more details on this juicy gaming rumour and which month we could see a release.

The source of the rumour believes that the future generation Xbox will have an AMD 6000-based processor.

New xBox and PlayStation 4 set for E3 2012

The source, which has not been named, told IGN of the powerful processor capable of deliver eye-watering graphical power and up to 20 per cent “greater performance” than Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U console. Strong words.

The same source also says that the next Xbox will ship to retailers in October or early November 2013, and that developers will receive kits with the same specs this August.

That could give them time to cook up some game demos for an E3 2013 reveal, with a view to releasing the console later that year. That is, should the rumour turn out to be true. Until more solid confirmation comes round, we suggest taking the above report with a pinch of salt. We have not heard the last of this one.

We do you think, is this just pure hype or should we be looking at a gaming console with the power being suggested? Let us know your thoughts in the Comments below.

From the past Microsoft and sony have both claimend big expectations for there consoles. from the sounds of it they may have big boots to fill. again but we must not forget that if we expect what they say we may be let down if they can not reach that potential aim. we shakk see what they have but prospects are looking good so far :)
