Vodafone Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4.0 update available now
Samsung Galaxy S2 owners on a Vodafone contract can breathe a happy sigh of relief. Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich is here! The latest Android update is available right now, with over the air update arriving on April 17th. Want to know how to get it? Read on.
Samsung Galaxy S2 owners will be able to update their devices from today using Samsung’s KIES PC software, bringing the latest Android operating system to Samsung’s flagship (till the Samsung Galaxy S3 arrives) phone.
Ice Cream Sandwich: why you need it ASAP
Those wanting to update over-the-air (using an online connection instead) will be able to do so from April 17th. It’s been a long time, but the update will be worth it.
As well as adding a more polished, smoother interface, Android 4.0 will add extra features to the Samsung Galaxy S2 including a face unlock tool that lets users unlock their phone using a photo of themselves.
More fantastic reasons to update include better text input, a better photography app and more web browsing features to make your Samsung Galaxy S2 feel like a brand new phone. Or at least provide some respite till the Samsung Galaxy S3 finally hits the shelves.
Have you downloaded the Android 4.0 update yet? Let us know how you’re getting on in the comments below.
