Viewsonic Android Tablet incoming Viewsonic ViewPad 7 – keep taking the tablets

ViewSonic is set to be the latest manufacturer to release an Android tablet, called the ViewPad 7. The device will be making its debut at the IFA consumer electronics fair next week, but the specs have already made an appearance. Read on for what to expect as the tablet battle heats up…

The ViewPad 7 is a 7-inch Android tablet packing 3G and WiFi connectivity. It’ll also sport a Micro SD slot, Bluetooth, G-Sensor, and USB connectivity, and front and back cameras for some video-calling fun.

As well as the Android ViewPad, we’re also promised a 10-inch Intel-based tablet from ViewSonic, with dual-boot Microsoft and Android operating systems.

It seems that nearly every major manufacturer is getting in on the Android tablet race, with models in the pipeline from Samsung, Motorola, Archos, Dell and LG. There’s no word on release date and pricing just yet, but stay tuned next week for all the news from IFA.
