UK games chart: Ghost Recon: Future Solider gives Max Payne 3 a beating

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Solider is this week’s most popular game in the UK. The tactical military shooter debuted at number one to snatch the top spot from Max Mayne 3, beating off some top, top games. Read on to see how even more of the newest releases fared.

The instant success of Ghost Recon: Future Solider gives developer Ubisoft something to cheer about as it enjoys the best first week sales of any previous game in the Ghost recon series.

And that means Max Payne 3 is in second place ahead of two other new releases from last week: Capcom’s fantasy-world-based Dragon’s Dogma and new Codemaster’s driving game DiRT: Showdown.

We’ve been playing a lot of DiRT: Showdown. The arcade racer features racing modes, a stunt school mode and multiplayer competitive car destruction. Whether you’re a serious racing fan or enjoy playing for fun, DiRT Showdown is a lot of fun. Watch out for a full review very soon.

Other notable chart developments sees fastest-selling PC game of all time Diablo 3 drop from two down to nine in the charts. The next week is a little more quiet on the release front, as the industry gears up for E3 2012, but we should see more action soon, with the likes of Lollipop Chainsaw and Spec Ops: The Line launching in the middle of June.

t

Spec ops the line should be their. It is a full immersion into guerrila warfare. Not cod where everything is planned and all the enemies do is pop in and out their cover. In this game you hqve enemies who try every tactic to surprise and kill you. Even though the graphics are not top notch, gameplay is. What any first game in a series should do. If you want a game which makes you feel like a soldier then get this. While most shooters like COD try to create a good story line they foeget gameplay. Demo this game on playstation store and probably xbox live and you will understand me.
