The Gadget Show World Tour: Top 5 luxury gadgets

Throughout The Gadget Show World Tour we’ve seen some fabulous gadgets. From desirable high street kit to the stuff gadget dreams are made of. Here we take a look at some of the best luxury gadgets to buy if money was no object.

From home cinema projectors that wouldn’t look out of place in your local multiplex to an iPod dock that costs as much as a house, these gadgets are the stuff of fantasy.

bf1 SYSTEMS Factor 001

You may recognise this bike, it appeared on the last leg of our Gadget Show World Tour. This £20,000 bike might have a steep price tag but doesn’t have to be treated too delicately. Its wheels are built to handle what real-world situations thrown at it, so it’s not just for racing. Not that it lacks in power. The design is such that it translates effort into efficient motion. In other words the bf1 SYSTEMS Factor 001 is a dream to ride.

SIM2 C3X Lumis 3D-S

Forget 3D TVs. The SIM2 C3X Lumis 3D-S produces perfect 3D pictures in full HD guaranteed to have anyone looking in a combination of gadget lust and amazement. Colours are some of the most natural you will see on any 3D display ever, with no sign of flickering. The unit itself is incredibly beautiful.

KEF Muon speakers

Believe it or not these KEF Muon speakers actually sold out when they were first introduced. That little fact is made even more surprising given the £140,000 price tag that comes attached. The KEF Muon is crafted from aluminium, and houses a four-way speaker system and powerful bass drivers. The heavily dampened shell eliminates all distortion.

AeroDream One iPod, iPad, iPhone dock

Now this is in the realm of fantasy. The AeroDream One is a colossal iPod, iPhone and iPad dock so tall it has its own ladder. A total power of 10,000 watts, and a 5 channel amplifier helps to deliver the kind of sound you never thought you’d hear from an MP3 player dock. The AeroDream One is available in chrome, black and white for a cost of around £300,000.

Hasselblad H4D-40 Ferrari Limited Edition

The Hasselblad H4D40 Ferrari Limited Edition is so plush it comes with a hand-made, glass-topped carry case with a suggestion that it is suitable for displaying. With a price of around £23,000 it might be one to keep tucked away in a high-security safe instead. The Hasselblad H4D-40 features a sensor with 40 megapixels and delivers the kind of picture quality seen only in the glossiest high-brow fashion magazines. You average holiday snapper, it certainly is not.
