T-Mobile G1 gets October 30 release The Google Android operating system breathes its first breath in the G1's slender body

T-Mobile has just put phone fanciers out of their misery and revealed that the much-awaited G1 will be landing in the UK in just two weeks time.

The first handset to feature Google Android will finally go toe-to-toe with the iPhone 3G from October 30. On of the most anticipated phones since Apple’s uber phone swanned onto the smartphone scene, the G1 is hotly tipped to steal the mobile show this Christmas.

It’s not going to be price-gunned in the hundreds either, with G1 available on contract exclusively via T-Mobile from £40 a month. Also thrown into the mix will be unlimited 3G Internet browsing for all.
