Sony Vaio L is a nice touch

Sony Vaio L is a nice touch Sony joins the all-in-one touchscreen desktop PC party with the Sony Vaio L

What do you get if you take all of Sony’s computung know-how, mix it with a touch of its expertise in screens, and throw in a pinch of its touchscreen-savvy tech? The answer: the Sony Vaio L series desktop PC.

For starters the Sony Vaio L all-in-one desktop PC sports a plush 24-inch touchscreen. It’s not just any touchscreen though. This is strutting around the all-in-one PC playground with an X-black LCD and Multiple Lamp Technology to make whatever you’re watching pristine, whether it’s standard or Hi-Def fare (it has a Blu-ray drive).

Elsewhere the Sony Vaio L will sport the new Windows 7, which means that this bad boy won’t be out until October 22. But considering that’s just two weeks away, we’ll wait.

Specs-wise the Vaio L desktop PC also boasts a whopping 1TB of storage space, plenty big enough for all your media storing needs, an Intel Core 2 Quad processor providing all the grunt, Wi-Fi, and Nvidia GeForce graphics. And just in case you can’t get to grips with the touch interface, there’s a wireless keyboard, a mouse and a remote to keep you in touch, so to speak.

There’s no word on a UK arrival yet, but our US cousins will be paying around $1,300 (or around £820 in English speak). As soon as there’s any news on a version for us, we’ll let you know.
