Sony PS Vita heading to the UK in October

We’ve played with loads of great gadgets over the past year, but the Sony PS Vita is one that we still can’t wait to get our hands on. With more power than any other handheld gaming console to date, it really looks like standing out from the latest smartphones when it comes to gaming on the move. It also looks like the PS Vita could be hitting the shops in October.

Although the list of titles lets it down somewhat, we’ve always liked the original Sony PSP. If the PS Vita – it’s successor – can offer a better range of games to go with the stunning performance, huge colour screen and new controls, Sony should be onto a winner.

According to a UK retailer, we may not have long to wait for the Sony PS Vita either. Apparently the PS Vita could be hitting the shops on October 28th, available in both 3G/Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi only formats.

Although not backed up specifically, Sony has noted that the Vita will be on target to launch in different parts of the world this holiday season. We hope the Japanese company will have a decent range of games to go with it.

Will you be buying the Sony PS Vita? Or do you think mobile phone gaming is the future? Leave a comment and let us know.

I'll be buying this. 100%! Can't wait to be honest, don't care what anyone says about it, competitive pricing against the 3DS at launch is exceptional considering the sheer quality that this console is offering.

The pricing will not be competative with the 3ds, seeing as it's having a huge price cut. However, it looks like a great piece of kit, and if the launch line-up is good, it might warrant a purchase.

The only reason why ds is more popular is because of r4. Out with an illegal 3d screen and in with oled. The magnificent screen which works outside in the sun how good is that. you can now use a portable games console in your garden.
