Sony Vaio M Series gets official Sony Vaio M Series – lightweight computing

Sony’s latest addition to its range of take-anywhere netbooks has officially been outed today. The Sony Vaio M Series “mini notebook” has been doing the rounds for a couple of weeks in web whispers, but now all the details are official.

Looking more than a touch like the Sony Vaio W Series, the ultra-portable M Series comes rocking a 10.1inch screen and weighing in at a mere 1.3kg.

Under the hood, there’s a respectable 250GB hard drive, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, plus Wi-fi, Bluetooth and three USB ports. It’ll also come packing Windows 7 Starter Edition.

There’s no official word on pricing just yet, although Tesco will offer it for £299 when it ships. The Sony Vaio M Series will be available in black or white from this month.
