SlingPlayer comes to the iPad
First came the iPhone, now the iPad
Having already made quite a splash on the similarly iOS-powered iPhone, the SlingPlayer Mobile app has graduated to the iPad.
The media-streaming app should be a lot more at home on the larger screen size of Apple’s tablet too, and like with the iPhone will magically port all your favourite media from your home SlingPlayer box straight to your iPad via either 3G or Wi-Fi – so long as your tablet remains connected to either.
It’s not just one-way traffic either, as the SlingPlayer app lets you control not only your SlingPlayer directly from your iPad, but any other video sources connected to it too, so you shouldn’t run out of things to watch anytime soon.
The only downside is that at £17.99 the SlingPlayer iPad app certainly doesn’t qualify as cheap. Then again, if you’ve already sprung for an iPad and a SlingBox…
