Sky TV shows land on Sony PlayStation 3
Up to now Xbox 360 has been the console to watch Sky TV. Now Sony PS3 owners will get a chance, after Sony and Sky have agreed to bring its biggest shows to the PlayStation Video Store. Time to turn on, turn in and fill your telly with the latest Sky TV shows.
It’s fantastic news for drama-loving PS3 fans. Owners of the console will get the chance to download top quality shows from Sky TV, in high definition and standard definition from a great selection sure to increase in future.

Current shows on offer include Arrested Development, 24, Dollhouse and South Park for prices between £1.49 and £2.49 each, with the pricier items being those offered in HD. There doesn’t appear to be the option to buy an entire series just yet, so that could be a feature to look out for in future.

Of course, the PS3 isn’t the only console to be seen watching Sky TV on. Sky subscribers can currently enjoy the service on Xbox 360 using Sky Player to access live television, a selection of Sky Sports channels and Sky Movies. A decent selection of on-demand movies are also available on the service.
So while the PS3 doesn’t have quite the same level of Sky content, PS3 fans can at least be pleased that something is being done to bring Sky shows to the PS3. Are there any Sky shows that you would like to see arrive on the PS3? Let us know in the comments below.
