Sharp Boombox gives your iPhone retro sonic skills
This year’s IFA gadget expo has been a treasure trove of new tablets and phones, but it’s also seen some other quirky new gizmos, including enormous TVs, and this stunner, the Sharp GX-M10 Boombox. This vintage portable stereo stuffs in all sorts of cutting edge tech, along with some seriously bowel shaking bass.
Unveiled at the IFA tech show in Germany, the Sharp GX-M10 Boombox is a stereo and dock that can be carried around, Run-DMC style. Behind those warning orange coloured plates are two powerful 50 Watt bass speakers, with two 13cm woofers tucked away inside too, along with a CD player and digital radio tuner.

Tucked away inside you’ll find a dock for iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPod touches to plug into – they can be charged and even controlled with the remote control. That’s not all though: you can play songs off a USB, plug in any MP3 player or even an iPad. And for the brave, there’s even a guitar input jack, to help give your street busking that extra oomph.
Intrigued? The Sharp GX-M10 Boombox goes on sale from October, priced at around €299 (£236). Let us know what you make of it in the comments below.

Came today....time for unboxing...wow impressed a really good bit of kit, The styling may not be to everyone's taste but the sound quality is fantastic. The bass is really tight even on x-bass setting witch makes the house shake.... Really easy to use bang in your iPod off you go. Would highly recommend to anyone out there who wants a portable sound system great for blasting out at a house party or just kicking back at home with some mellow tunes. There's a fm radio with rds, CD player, and inputs for memory sticks guitar and mics. So for £99 grab yourself a bargain and get one you won't regret it.
