Samsung Series 9 notebook out February 25, for a price
Samsung has finally announced when we’ll be able to get our hands on its luscious, jaw-droppingly thin Samsung Series 9 notebook. The aluminium MacBook Air rival will hit the shops on February 25. But only if those shops are John Lewis. But don’t let that put you off – the Samsung Series 9 is a powerful laptop with specs that make it worth checking out.
Department Store John Lewis has scored a major coup here, nabbing exclusive selling rights to the Samsung Series 9 notebook. Taking a look at the Series 9, we can see why. The Samsung Series 9 is one of the most gorgeous laptops we’ve seen.
Its sand-blasted aluminium body is a real eye-catcher. The Samsung Series 9 13.3-inch laptop comes with an Intel Core i5 processor, 128GB SSD storage and an impressive 10 hour battery life. That’s as good as any laptop out there. By comparison, Apple’s MacBook Air has a maximum 7-hour battery life.
The screen is a particular highlight. It uses Samsung’s HD+ SuperBright Plus technology to deliver better quality images, adept at displaying HD graphics at more viewing angles.
However the Samsung Series 9 comes at a price. At £1,200 the Series 9 laptop certainly isn’t cheap. A more cost-efficient alternative this summer could be the new Asus Transformer Prime TF700, which like the Samsung Series 9 has a metal chassis, HD skills and some decent specs.
