Samsung S8000 Android phone surfaces!

Samsung S8000 Android phone surfaces! The Samsung S8000: the Korean company's first Android phone!

Another day, another Android phone. The Samsung S8000 is the South Korean company’s first attempt at an Android handset, and from the looks of things, it’ll give the other Androids a run for their money.

So what’s the skinny on the S8000? Well Samsung’s newbie will supposedly come with 2GB of internal storage, that’s upgradeable via a microSD card. It’ll also have a five-megapixel camera (for taking snaps of envious Android phones, presumably), and the usual Wi-Fi/3G/Bluetooth mix.

What’s more the Samsung S8000 will have a 16 million colour OLED screen – these are not only great to look at, but they also use less power than normal mobile screens. Best of all though, the S8000 will have a 3.5mm headphone jack, so there’s no need for any silly adaptors (eh HTC?!).

No release dat has been mentioned as of yet, but as soon as this Android struts onto the scene, we’ll let you know…
