Samsung Galaxy S3: Rainbow of new colours unleashed

We’ve seen plenty of hints that a black version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android phone was on the way, but we didn’t expect a slew of other news shades as well. Ahead of the company’s big gadget unveiling at IFA this evening, that’s exactly what Samsung’s done though. Read on to see them all.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the best phones on the market today, courtesy of its enormous 4.8-inch HD screen and powerful 1.4GHz quad-core processor. But if you wanted it in any colour other than bright white or surprisingly hard to come by blue, you were out of luck.

Until today that is: over on Samsung’s official blog, you can check out the Samsung Galaxy S3 in several cool new hues. There’s an “amber brown” version, a rather striking “garnet red” number, a “sapphire black” model at long last and a fetching “titanium grey”.

Not bad, eh? Sadly, we don’t know yet when all of these new Samsung Galaxy S3 shades will arrive in the UK; we’ve asked all the networks and so far, Vodafone has confirmed that it will be stocking the black model, while O2 says it doesn’t have any plans to stock them. Three and Everything Everywhere declined to comment.

What do you make of the new Samsung Galaxy 3 colours? Will they make you upgrade? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments.
