Samsung Galaxy S3: Android 4.2 bumper update on the way!
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has only just been upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but it appears Samsung isn’t stopping for a breather. According to a new leak, Samsung is hard at work on updating it to the even newer Android 4.2, just announced last week. Want to know when it’ll land? This way, please.
An insider tells Sammy Hub (which has a track record of accurate leaks) that the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 super phones will be updated to Android 4.2 at some point between January and March in 2013. Android 4.2 brings with it some smart improvements, including widgets you can place on your lock screen, and a Google Now app that can search for even more information without you having to even ask it first.

Alongside this, the report says that Samsung is testing Android 4.1 Jelly bean for last year’s original Galaxy Note phone, suggesting that an update for both it and the 2011 smash hit Samsung Galaxy S2 can’t be far off. When that hits, you can expect much faster performance, plus the option to even use voice commands and dictation even when you don’t have 3G or Wi-Fi signal.
We’ll bring you more on Samsung’s update schedule as soon as we hear it. In the meantime, time in in the comments below – are you looking forward to an Android 4.2 update for your phone?

I share your pain. I was gutted when I discovered that Sky Go no longer worked on my S3 after the Jellybean update. I hope it's a problem that gets solved soon (& doesn't then happen again after the 4.2 update!)

I have the Galaxy Nexus and Sky Go works fine on it with Jelly Bean 4.1 I hope they change the keyboard back though as I hate the "guess the next word" feature, I much preferred it when it gave you punctuation mark options so you didn't have to keep changing the keyboard screen to get commas etc.
