Samsung Galaxy Note 2 set to launch in August!
The August launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is looking more likely after Samsung alerted US press that it will make a ‘major announcement’ on 15th August. Bets are that it will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 – a near tablet-sized Android smartphone with a display up to 5.3-inches in size.
Samsung could of course reveal something entirely new, although rumours suggest that a successor to the Galaxy Note is imminent.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will have a big screen, tipped to measure up to around 5.3-inches diagonally, and give the likes of the iPhone and HTC Desire One X a run for their money when it comes to being a media powerhouse.
Other Galaxy Note 2 rumours we’ve heard include mentions of an ‘unbreakable’ screen and that it will run Android Jelly Bean from launch, have a quad-core processor to make it one of the fastest phones around, and don a 12-megapixel camera.
Samsung will be hoping the device sways users from the incoming iPhone 5, which will also have a bigger screen, although one not as large. And as tablets get smaller, a large phone as a halfway house could be an ideal comprise for gadget fans reluctant to invest in both a small tablet, and a high-end smartphone.
Samsung has yet to officially confirm what it will be showing, but it looks like gadget and Samsung fans can look forward to some new kit one way or another.
