Samsung aims for gamers with Series 7 700G7A
Samsung is making a surprise grab for gamers’ attention with the specs of its latest laptop. The Samsung Series 7 700G7A is packed with features aimed at tempting gamers to kill foes from their laps rather than their rooms.
The 700G7A (seriously, Samsung, try to think of a snappier name. We think the Samsung Murderizer would be good. Perhaps the Samsung Explosificator 9000.) comes with a quad-core 2Ghz i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM and a Blu-ray drive. It’ll need to be good to temp people from their Alienware laptops. It’s certainly a lot more refined when it comes to styling.
Graphical chores are made short shrift of by a Radeon HD 6970m with a whopping 2GB of dedicated graphics memory. It can output to HDMI, of course, should the 1,920×1,080 screen ever feel a bit pokey. As a final nod and a wink to gamers, the W-A-S-D keys (the first-person shooter pro’s movement keys of choice) have their own separate red backlight that picks them out above the blue of the other keys. Nice.
How many of you guys prefer gaming on a laptop, over a PC or console? Leave a comment and let us know.

If you're going to game, DON'T buy a laptop. Buy a desktop PC. Far cheaper and performs far better.

Gaming on a laptop is far more exquisite than a desktop PC! Maybe the specs could be better on a desktop PC, however you don't get the same level of privacy.
