Putty Monster – create your own critter
Online retailer Firebox has just unleashed the Putty Monster – the result of a national competition to find the UK’s next talented inventor.
Tom Spring – a schoolboy from Leicester – created the Putty prototype for the competition in June 2009. His creation as now gone into production and Tom will receive 50 per cent of the profits made from Putty Monsters.
The monsters themselves come in a selection of skin and eye colours and are blind packaged, so you never know what combo you’re likely to get. Punters are then encouraged to upload their creations to an online community page – before their creation slowly melts at room temperature.
Firebox have said that they will be running Firebox Inventor this year too, so get your thinking cap on and you could be the next winner…
