Pollyanna's apps of the month! (September 2011)
Every month, Pollyanna is set to pick out her favourite smartphone apps. With thousands of apps to choose from on Android and iOS, this month’s choice is as varied as ever. Join us after the break to find out more.
With an unprecedented choice of apps on offer, choosing the best can be a tricky business. That’s why we – with the help of Pollyanna – have put together a list of favourite apps for September.
Hoops AR Hoops AR is a game that lets you make the most out of augmented reality on your Android smartphone. You’ll need to print out a ‘big play ticket’, but once you have, you’ll be able to play on a virtual basketball court from any angle. It offers brilliant gameplay, and reminds us of the Nintendo 3DS somewhat.
Historypin Available for Android and iOS, Historypin is an app that allows you to visualise the past, in the present, via augmented reality. Place an old image over the current view to see a real time comparison – it’s fantastic!
360 panorama Pollyanna’s favourite app this month, 360 Panorama does pretty much what it says on the tin. An app on iOS that makes it easy to build a complete 360 view paneramic shot. It looks great!
