Plenty more 'Facebook phones' on their way

Plenty more 'Facebook phones' on their way There's plenty more where these came from it seems

We’ve seen both HTC and INQ launch a pair of phones each in the last week with Facebook baked right into their inner workings. And while it’s obvious now that there won’t be a single Facebook-branded device flying the flag for the social network, it seems the four we’ve seen so far are just the start.

Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg confirmed as much via a pre-recorded video during HTC’s launch of the Salsa and ChaCha at MWC this week, and praised the Taiwanese firm for taking the initiative.

“A lot has been made about an individual Facebook phone, but we’re going to see multiple devices this year,” Zuckerberg revealed. “The ones that are best are the ones that jump in and are social from the ground up.

“We’re very happy with the direction HTC has taken,” Zuckerberg added, referring specifically to the Salsa and ChaCha, “and we look forward to much more to come.” Needless to say, so do we all.
