PES 2013 demo out July 25th, will it be better than FIFA?

As we approach the start of the football season, Konami is readying the first playable demo of PES 2013 for July 25th. The demo will showcase new features such as its real-life match-replicating ProActive AI, and let players get to grips with eight fully licensed teams.

The PES 2013 demo includes playable teams from England, Germany, Portugal, Italy, and Brazil’s Santos FC, SC International Fluminense and Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores mode.

Konami boasts of the most life-like football simulation yet. PES 2013 will offer players full control, full freedom of movement, and a dynamic first touch to mirror how players might receive the ball in real-life.

Players will also be able to choose how they receive the ball, and then dribble with it using different control styles for close cushioned dribbling, pushed forward, or shielded.

Meanwhile ProActive AI promises to deliver matches that flow just like the real thing. New AI routines will prevent CPU-controlled opponents, and your teammates acting like headless relegation fodder.

Over 50 of the world’s top players have been carefully detailed so that the likes of Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi will look as they do on the telly, complete with some of their famous celebrations. We await the Mario Balotelli sulk.

The PES 2013 demo is out on July 25th. Circle it in your calendar, gaming and football fans. Which football game will you be going with this year?

Windows 8 officially lands 26th October 2012
