Parrot quadricopter gets a pocket rival: Meet the Micro Drone!
Parrot’s AR Drone 2.0 four bladed remote control toy is just about the most fun you can have in an office, but that £300 price tag is a bit steep given it’s not quite strong enough to fly the tea order back to your desk. But a new pocket rival promises the same aviation japes for a fraction of the price: meet the Firebox Micro Drone.
The Micro Drone uses the same quadricopter technology as the Parrot AR Drone, but nestles snugly in the palm of your hand, charges via USB and costs just £69.99. It doesn’t boast the same airborne video recording skills or smartphone controls, but it’s easy to fly using the bundled remote, can flip in the air and even take off from walls using suction cups if you really want to give your boss a fright.
Five amazing robots vehicles you won’t believe Honda made
Intrigued? You can order the Micro Drone over at Firebox now. In the meantime, check out what the Parrot AR Drone 2.0 is capable of in our video review:
