Panasonic nabs Avatar 3D BD exclusive
James Cameron’s stunning fantasy Avatar stands head and shoulders above the competition as the top box office film of all time, and one of the main reasons is undoubtedly its 3D visuals.
Now – finally – you can recreate the magic of Pandora in all its 3D glory on Blu-ray. The downside is that for now it’ll require you to invest in one of Panasonic’s Full HD 3D products.
Panasonic has bagged exclusive rights to the 3D edition of one of 2010’s most wanted Blu-ray releases, and will bundle it together with a variety of Full HD 3D gadgets, ranging from its latest Viera 3D TVs through to its 3D camcorders and 3D Blu-ray players.
Aside from Avatar, the bundle also includes 3D Blu-ray versions of Ice Age 3, Coraline and Paul Carrack in concert.
If you’re not willing to lay down a fair wodge of cash for the latest Panasonic 3D gear, you’ll have to wait until the end of January for the screen-popping version of Avatar to go on general sale.

How many versions are they bringing out?! First it was original, then its the expensive collectors edition then the extended edition, now the 3d vetaion. JeeZ! Calm down! It's not that great a film. People think think it was amazing just coz of the cgi. Yea it was awesome. But the story line wasnt great. Hopefully the 2nd one is better.
