Nokia X6 officially incoming
X6 – sweet sounding smartphone
Nokia has confirmed that its flagship X6 smartphone is on its way into shops at this very moment ahead of its UK launch tomorrow morning.
As we reported earlier, the Finnish phone-monger has had to delay its N900 – also due to land tomorrow – by a week because of lack of stock, but it has officially green-lighted the X6 to make its much-anticipated debut.
Nokia has big hopes for the X6 – the first in its new X Series line and there’s no question it’s aimed squarely at the same piece of smartphone real estate currently dominated by the iPhone. Its high-end looks, 3.5in capacitive touchscreen display, 32GB of storage and Comes With Music integration make all the right noises, as does a video-capable 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash. But only time will tell whether there’s enough bite to go with that bark.
We’ll find out starting tomorrow – the Nokia X6 is available for £449 SIM-free, or on £35-per-month contracts through Orange.

The nokia x6 is a brilliant little phone and could be a iphone killer if it had a bit more oomph behind it seems like the processor struggles on simple tasks and it can take up to 30 seconds sometimes to get into a app this phone is for the patient minded but what it lacks in the hardware department certainly makes up for sound quality and watching films on the screen and is easy going on the mince pies (eyes lol) think the symbian os dosent do this phone justice they should of gone for a android based os for this one and it would of given the iphone a run for its money big thumbs down for symbian s60 v5 very glitchy. the phone its self the x6 is nice in the hands nice touch screen ,sound quality is above average as the headphones that come with the handset, bad points are little underpowered on the processor front, and let down by a glitchy os

the phone is nice but the os REALLY lets it down. The screen is beautifull and the pictures taken by the camera are fantastic. I can only think of four things that could be improved about this phone. 1 the os. If nokia had android running on it it would be awesome. 2. The processor should be a 600mhz . It would be much faster. 3 the amount of ram should be bigger. 256mb woud do it. 128mb is just not enaugh. And finally 4. The screen could be multitouch. It would be nice to just be able to pinch and zoom. One other thing that i would like to point out is that the screen is a 3.2 inch not a 3.5 as it sais in the review.

I bought a phone in Turkey to use there an earlier Nokia Xpressmusic model - I have been appalled by the software that come with it. I use a mac but have Win7 too -the software just DOES NOT WORK!! It is the worst I have ever used. I have no problem with the phone -it does what it does but the software is appallingly bad. No wonder Nokia is beginning to struggle. Their website is awful and of little or no use when you have problems. They really need to do a root and branch overhaul - surely if Nokia cannot get it right they need to employ better programmers. After struggling with the software Nokia PC suite and Ovi now they are discontinuing and one needs to uninstall it. They need to get their act together soon!!

I have had the Nokia X6, for some time now and, quite frankly, am bored with it. are there any new iphones coming out in the near future and are there plans for a phone and a Blue Ray player, to be intergarted into the iPad? If there are, I am sure there will be more of us buying, rather than using the humble mobile.

Nokia are doomed unless WP8 is a hit or they switch to Android.
