Nokia Lumia 920 and 820: UK release date revealed!
The Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 Windows Phone 8 devices turned heads on their launch early last month, but Nokia had been keeping a precise launch date for the pair under wraps. It’s finally revealed when you’ll be able to get them – but don’t worry, it’s very soon indeed.
Both the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 are shipping to the UK right now, and will start appearing on shop shelves in early November. The Nokia Lumia 820, with changeable back covers and a 4.3-inch screen, will be available through O2, Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4U and the Tesco Phone Shop.

The flagship Nokia Lumia 920 meanwhile will only be available on EE – and you’ll be able to use its 4G network with it, which launched today. It’s up for sale on the company’s website, priced up at £49.99 with a £41 per month 4G contract. For your money, you get a huge 4.5-inch HD screen as well as a super-fast multi-core processor.
Will the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 be worth the wait? We put our review of the HTC Windows Phone 8X up yesterday, and if you caught that you’ll know that we found Windows Phone 8 still has some kinks that need to be ironed out – as well as a distinct lack of apps.
But Nokia’s exclusive apps, like free satnav Nokia Drive, could be the clincher. We’ll have full reviews of both phones for you as soon as we can so stay tuned.

I still don't know when it will be released other than the ridiculously expensive EE. It is a phone I have been looking forward to for as long as its been rumoured, The weight of the phone doesn't bother me, the lack of expandable memory doesn't either, who needs more than 32gb anyway? Do they actually want to install the marketplace? But to give exclusive rights to EE is going to bite them in the backside. Can I wait till 2013 for my chance to own it other than paying £400+? Probably not Come on Nokia if you want to own more than 3% in the phone market pull your finger out.
