Nokia Lumia 920 4G coming to the UK this year!
One of the features stuffed inside the Nokia Lumia 920 is a 4G connection for turbo internet speeds on the go. Since there are no running 4G networks in the UK right now, it seemed like one we wouldn’t be able to take advantage of. But according to reports today, Everything Everywhere could be blessing British Nokia owners with 4G speeds this year!
According to two Financial Times sources, Everything Everywhere (the merged T-Mobile and Orange) has secured an exclusive on the Nokia Lumia 920 4G model in the UK, and it could go live this year. That’s because Everything Everywhere has been given approval to turn on its 4G network this year by regulatory body Ofcom, while rival networks have to wait until next year.

That gives Everything Everywhere a huge head start on 4G in the UK, and the Nokia Lumia 920 a real USP in a crowded smartphone market. There’s an elephant in the room though: Apple’s iPhone 5 launching on Wednesday is expected to support 4G too, and possibly the 4G frequency Everything Everywhere will be using.
We should know more by the end of the week: Everything Everywhere is hosting a press conference in London tomorrow, where it’s expected to reveal lots more about its 4G plans. Stay tuned.

How soon can I get myself a Lumia? I've been using an old Windows Phone 7 device since it's release and I absolutely love it. The OS is fresh, exciting and different to the rest. The new Lumia looks set to be even better; add in 4G to the package (together with the other updates that Windows Phone 8 and Nokia provide) and it looks to be a very compelling opportunity. As for the iPhone - I'll not be going anywhere near an Apple device again; I had no end of problems with my old 3GS, together with them being the "safe bet" phone, they just don't hold any appeal. Android is no better either, partially due to it's tendency to be plagued by Virus's, lack of updates (will you or won't you get the latest update on a new device?) and it's highly complex interface (when compared to the rest). Windows Phone really does offer something nice and simple. In the modern world, simplicity must win over complexity - and elegance should trump customizability.

This phone just keeps getting more and more appealing. They already had me at "Pureview".
