Nokia 5230 Comes With Colour
Nokia's second announcement in two days: it's the Nokia 5230!
After yesterday’s eye-popping Nokia Booklet 3G announcement, the company’s gone back to its roots and announced the new Nokia 5230 mobile phone in a range of snazzy colours to keep you happy.
The Nokia 5230 is the Finnish company’s latest handset to touchdown with a touchscreen that’s big enough to cope with all your multimedia needs on the go. Measuring 3.2-inches, the wide touchscreen features a full-screen QWERTY keyboard and handwriting recognition.
Available in more bright colours than a Blue Peter Presenter’s wardrobe, the Nokia 5230 also comes with super-speedy HSDPA connectivity, allowing you to stay bang up to date with your mates’ shenanigans on Facebook and Twitter, no waiting allowed.
Elsewhere you’ll find A-GPS with Ovi Maps, Ovi Store on the homescreen so a world of apps are just a touch away, plus Nokia’s new Contacts bar on the homescreen. The two-megapixel camera’s some way off the likes of the Sony Ericsson Satio’s 12MP offering, but it’s not always about the megapixels. Especially because this phone’s major talent is music.
With a whopping 33 hours of playback, a 3.5mm headphone jack and memory that goes up to 16GB via SD card, you’ll be able to get your music fill with the 5230. In fact Nokia’s releasing two versions of the handset, one with Comes With Music (Nozza’s all-you-can-eat music buffet) and one without. €259 and €149 respectively.

it's great - i love nokia's but how do you get the sat nav to work? i downloaded over the air, it wouldnt. i downloaded from nokia website over usb and it wont work - i called my provider customer services who said 'it's 3rd party, dont know' and went in to t-mobile shop! maps seem to be there, but when loaded its a virtually blanks screen with little red circle and some coordinates...... but it's still a great phone for the 80 quid it cost from argos
