Nike+ Microsoft Kinect Training coming to Xbox 360

The Nike fitness juggernaut continues to pace along, with the launch of a new Nike+ Kinect Training tool. It will bring the same Nike+ ‘personalised training’ already enjoyed by Nike+ users, into the home for use with the Microsoft Kinect motion-sensing camera for the Xbox 360 console. Nike+ Kinect is coming on 2nd November.

As with every Nike+ training method, Nike+ Kinect will track users every movement in order to provide real-time feedback on their progress whenever a workout has taken place. The system promises to get its users “fitter, faster and stronger”.

Nike+ Training and Nike Basketball apps pair up with stat-tracking shoes

Nike+ Kinect will let users see the impact of every movement and exercise, and earn NikeFuel points for every workout. NikeFuel points are points earned for completing workouts – the idea being that users strive to reach a certain level of activity each day, or workout.

Personalised, and Live Workouts will teach beginners the basics, and help refine the workouts of those that already love to keep fit. The system promises to deliver a workout fit for all using the same technology that has made Nike+ as popular as it already is, and bring it to the Xbox 360. Nike+ Kinect will arrive on 2nd November for £39.99.

It won’t be the first time fitness games have sneaked onto the console. One of our favourites, and most well recommended is UFC Personal Trainer: The Ultimate Fitness System. What it lacks in proper tutorials and instructions on form, it makes up for in routines that really make you sweat. Check out our review at the link below.
