New Retina Display MacBook Pro unleashed!
It’s not all about the iPad Mini today: Apple has also revamped its Mac line, and top of the list for a spring clean was the 13-inch MacBook Pro. As rumoured, it’s now been updated, and kitted out with a new, thinner chassis and a super sharp display.
Apple has whittled the 13-inch MacBook Pro down to whispish, near-MacBook-Air dimensions: it now measures just 0.75-inches thick (1.9mm). But it still packs in all the power you’d expect, including the latest Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, a massive 8GB of memory and up to 768GB of super fast solid state storage. Apple’s dropped the disc drive to whittle it down but you hopefully won’t miss it given the SD card slot and Thunderbolt port for accessories.

The icing on the cake however is the Retina Display with 4.096 million pixels (2560×1600) – Apple says that’s so sharp you can’t make out individual pixels, and that was certainly the case on the 15-inch model so we’ve got high hopes here.
The new MacBook Pro is on sale at the Apple online store today, and starts at £1,449. Time to break open all the piggy banks? We’ll let you get to it: in the meantime, hit the comments below: is this the upgrade you’ve been clamouring for?
