Libratone Lounge and Live speakers stream iPhone music via AirPlay

There’s never been a better time to buy speakers for your iPhone or iPod, with hundreds of docks and iPod-friendly devices on the market. The Libratone Live and Libratone Lounge speakers are the latest to appear, taking on the likes of Bang and Olufsen when it comes to simplistic styling and steep pricing.

The new Libratone speakers are perfect for those wanting to maintain a clean, modern and comtemporary house, with the Libratone Live and the Libratone Lounge boasting thin and unobtrusive lines that promise to stand out without taking over your living room.

Both the Libratone Live and the Libratone Lounge get Apple’s Airplay wireless technology, helping you to stream and play back music without having to plug in your iPod or iPhone, and both speakers are available through the Apple Store online.

With regard to the design, Libratone claims that the Live and Lounge are “made of exclusive materials including a satin chrome handle, a body of wood, high-end piano finish and Italian cashmere wool”.

They come at a pretty high price, however, with the Libratone Live popping up at £599, and the larger Libratone Lounge costing considerably more, at £1,199.
