LG's super-slim E90 LED display incoming

LG's super-slim E90 LED display incoming LG's wafer-thin E90 - here by Christmas

If you’re in line for a monitor upgrade, you might want to hold out until LG brings this baby to the UK. The brand new E90 is the company’s slimmest ever LED monitor, measuring just 7.2mm in depth, with a 2-millisecond response time thrown in for good measure.

That combination means that not only is this 21.5in display sleek and slender, but also that it should prove a gamer’s best friend, with that all-important response time figure making the E90 an ideal partner for some high-intensity frag action.

LG hasn’t stopped there, though. In keeping with the E90’s slim profile, LG has also embedded the power supply and PC connection port into the back of the stand. And with LED screen tech reducing energy consumption by up to 40 per cent over conventional LCD, you should be able to keep power not only out of sight, but out of mind too.

With the E90 comes LG’s Image Booster software, which is specifically designed to improve the picture quality of online video footage from the likes of YouTube or Hulu – all part of a bigger strategy that recognises computer monitors are increasingly being used for far more than just games or as a visual display for software on the PC.

No word on a price as yet from LG, but we have been assured the E90 will be made available on local shores before Christmas. No rush, chaps…
