LG Optimus G beast phone unleashed: Galaxy S3 killer?
We saw the LG Optimus G Android phone teased last week, but now it’s official, and as we predicted, it’s a beast. It’s packing the specs to make even the powerhouse Samsung Galaxy S3 look feeble – and it’s coming to the UK before Christmas. Read on for all the details.
In its home country of South Korea this morning, LG’s announced the LG Optimus G, its next generation Android 4.0 smartphone. It’s just 8.45mm thin, with a lavish 4.7-inch HD resolution (1280×720) display, and a 13 megapixel camera.

What’s most impressive is what’s under the hood however. It’s packing the latest second generation quad-core 1.5GHz processor from Qualcomm, which looks to be the new fastest kid on the block, as well as 2GB of memory, which should make multitasking a breeze. That’s all backed up by a beefy 2,100mAh battery to help the LG Optimus G last through the day.
The LG Optimus G is out in South Korea in September, with a global launch before the end of the year. What do you make of this new phone? Should Samsung be scared? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments.

Can't tell if the battery and memory card can be taken out. Battery life and storage are big issues for smartphone users and if the LG can't offer solutions to ailing battery life and provide room for countlessly added apps then its not going to be fit for purpose. Having had an LG in the past I'm not holding out much hope.

Had an LG arena before my current S3, my experience with that makes it unlikely that I'll try it

It has gone a few days past xmass but no signs of this phone in UK. Based on what information did you say in this article that the phone will be released in UK?
