It's dive time!
Fancy reading the time at a depth of 1,000m? You need the Blancpain 500 Fathoms
Fathom that! No really. That’s it’s name. The Blancpain 500 Fathoms. It’s a new high-class timepiece from the makers of high resistance diver water, that can go where no other watch can exist the pressures: 1,000 metres deep!
The Blancpain 500 Fathoms is a limited edition timepiece, with only 50 available. Measuring 48m in diameter it has an automatic decompression valve placed inside the brushed titanium case that allows it to withstand the immense pressures at 1,000m deep.
Naturally at that depth it’s pretty dark, so the large phosphorescent Arabic numerals help to enhance legibility, as does the luminescent coating applied to the hour-markers, bezel markings and hands.
Overall then, this is possibly the ultimate diver’s watch. And just how much does that cost nowadays? Only a mere €17,400. Oh well. You can dream, right?

Cool, a 48m diameter watch no wonder it will go that deep it is made for giants. :-)

Both the Rolex sea dweller and the sea dweller deepsea can go deeper than this - the deepsea is certified to 3900 meters - both are professional dive watches

I think its the first one with a display-back to be able go to 1000m should you wish to see your watch's gubbins at those depths... The IWC aquastar goes to 1000m and is so tough it doesn't need the helium escape valve.

a 1,000 metre is 0.62137119224 mile long way down!
