iPad Mini release date revealed, but will it come to the UK this year?
Apple is almost certainly going to unveil the iPad Mini at its press conference in San Jose next Tuesday, but the rumour mill has just slotted another piece of the puzzle into place: when the little iOS slate will go on sale. But will this be a global launch?
According to 9to5Mac, which has a reliable track record on Apple leaks, the iPad Mini will go on sale on Friday 2 November. This would certainly make sense, as Apple has often launched must-have new devices just before the weekend – it also gives Apple plenty of time on the shop shelves before Christmas too.

But here’s a more pressing question we may have to wait until Tuesday to find out: will the Apple iPad Mini go on sale in the UK straight away? It’s worth remembering that while the iPhone 5 went on sale in the US and the UK simultaneously, Apple launched both the first iPad and the first iPhone in North America first, taking several months to make its way across the pond.
Reports that Apple is stockpiling millions of the devices would suggest it plans a global launch for the iPad Mini, but we may not know for sure until Tim Cook takes the stage next week. We’ll keep you posted.
